What's New With You?
After hearing some music by Bob Marley a friend of mine went to buy his CD but complained they were all "solid gold" or "legend" nothing recent. Bob Marley hasn't any new releases because he died in 1981. (The CD format was introduced in 1982.)

Bob Marley's music was new to her because she had never heard it before. This definition of "new" reminds me of a sign I saw at the library: "All Our Books Are New if You Haven't Read Them"

An old Christian tune that is constantly discovered anew is that Christianity is heard most clearly not in crusades, culture or condemnations but in the love of others.
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." - John 13:34- 35

As painful memories of 5 years ago descend upon us this coming week with the background beat of religious war, let us strive to hear that old song of love played new again. Listen for the courage shouted and the love sung by rescuers and co-workers in the midst of horror and terror.

Hoping you continue the song of love!
